Hello! I am Misty Cozart-Evans, PT, owner of Arise Physical Therapy and Wellness PLLC, based in Celina TX.  I graduated with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman's University in 2007.  I began my career working in the inpatient rehab setting.  I then transitioned to home health care, and have been working in the home health setting for the past 13 years.  Over the past few years I have had a strong desire to provide care to senior citizens beyond traditional home health care.  Medicare and private insurance cover skilled services, however, many patients have the desire to continue with  on-going wellness care.  Wellness care with a physical therapist focuses on helping clients continue with a fitness program.  Many people lack caregiver assistance or family support and struggle to continue with exercises on their own.   With a wellness program, I can provide in-home one-on-one support to ensure the client is able to continue with their exercises, report any concerns that arise to the client's physician, provide social interaction, and assist with chores around the house as needed.  Wellness visits are tailored to meet the client's needs. My goal is to keep clients strong , healthy, independent and in their homes as long as safely possible.
